Privacy policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can tell us to do about it. In plain language.

Effective date: 21 August 2026. Last updated: 21 August 2026.

1. Who we are

Curbcutters Unlimited operates curbcuttersunlimited.com. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us any time at hello@curbcuttersunlimited.com.

2. What you give us

  • Ordering: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone number if you provide one, and what you bought.
  • Account: email and a password, stored encrypted. We never see your password.
  • Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to sign up.
  • Contact: whatever you write to us, including anything you attach.

3. What we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and security systems log your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site running, diagnose faults and detect fraud.

4. Payment information

Card details are entered directly into our payment provider's secure systems. We never see or store your full card number. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the last four digits, the card type, and the billing address needed to verify the transaction.

5. Disability and accessibility information

You never have to tell us you are disabled to buy from us, to report an access barrier, or to ask a fit question. We do not ask for proof and we do not require an explanation.

If you do choose to share something about your body, your access needs or your health while asking us a question, we treat it as sensitive. We use it only to answer you. We do not add it to a marketing profile, we do not segment our mailing list by it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the person handling your message.

6. How we use your information

  • To take payment, produce your order and ship it to you.
  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates and returns correspondence.
  • To answer your questions and handle returns or complaints.
  • To send marketing email, but only if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe from every message.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
  • To understand which pages people use, so we can fix what is broken.

7. Who we share it with

We share only what each partner needs to do its job, and we do not sell your personal information.

  • Payment provider: processes your payment and handles fraud checks.
  • Production and fulfilment partner: receives your name, shipping address and order so it can make and dispatch your garment.
  • Shipping carriers: receive delivery details and provide tracking.
  • Email provider: sends transactional and, where you consented, marketing email.
  • Hosting and security providers: keep the site online and protected.
  • Authorities: where we are legally required to disclose.

8. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, including keeping items in your cart and keeping you signed in. We may also use cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart and checkout will not work properly without the necessary ones.

9. How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years. Account information is kept until you ask us to close your account. Marketing consent is kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful for supporting you.

10. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within one month. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information.

11. Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security, transfers and changes

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to customer data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Some of our partners operate outside your country, which means your information may be transferred internationally under appropriate safeguards. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you directly if the change is significant.
